For me personally, starting EXZIDE from my small room in Naas, Co. Kildare with nothing more than an old laptop and a drive to create something real — it meant everything. It was a rush that kept me awake for months, fuelled by excitement, fear, and the belief that I could build something bigger.
Those early months of uncertainty became the best thing that ever happened to me. There was no roadmap, no step-by-step guide on how to build websites, run ads that actually convert, or craft a brand that people believe in.
So, I learned the hard way — long nights on YouTube, testing everything, failing fast, and figuring out what really works for businesses.
That process built the foundation of EXZIDE.
From then to now, we’ve built the company on one core value — growth. If it’s not growing, it’s dying. It’s a mindset we live by daily.
Like Phil Knight once said, “We’re always on the offense.” That line stuck with me from Shoe Dog — one of my favourite books — and it perfectly describes how we operate.
