So you’re looking to give somebody or an agency the reigns to run your Facebook or Instagram or maybe even allow them to run some ads for you but you’re not quite sure how to allow them access to your pages… This step by step tutorial will give you clear guidance on how to do just that without missing anything.
Step 1: Go to Meta Business Suite
Go to https://business.facebook.com/
Step 2: Log in
Make sure to log in to the Facebook account which has the business assets (Facebook Business Page, Instagram Business Page, Ad Account, etc.)
Step 3: Go To Settings
Once you’re logged in to your business portfolio, go to the bottom right corner where you will see ‘Settings’. Click this.
Step 4: Ensure your Instagram is logged in
Make sure that you are logged in to your Instagram Business page (assuming that you have it linked to the same personal profile)
If you aren’t logged in already, process to log in by following the instructions below:
Step 5: Go To People (Under Users)
Now that your Instagram is logged in, go to ‘People’ on the left hand side of your page under Users in the Business Portfolio Info section.
Step 6: Click ‘Invite People’
Step 7: Enter the relevant email address which you’d like to allow access your Business Assets
Step 8: Choose next.
Step 9: Select ‘Pages’ under ‘Select Asset Type’.
Select all if you’d like to allow access to everything – alternatively, choose relevant tools for your individual case – e.g for Ad management, choose ads, insights, leads
Step 10: For ‘ad accounts’, select your ad account (if you have one created).
Assign these 3 permissions.
*If you haven’t already, add your billing information onto your ad account for Meta ads. See how to do that by clicking here.
Step 11: Finally, choose ‘Instagram Accounts’ and select all of the permissions (if applicable).
Step 12: Send the invitation.
That’s everything set up correctly, now you have granted access your ‘Business Assets’.
